Friday Flowers

Pretty flowers have been sitting on my dressing table this week from Mr Cornflake - to cheer me up in the height of my flu. So pretty.

Well, we're frantically packing this morning for our weekend in Brisbane. Looking forward to the break and catching up with his family and friends who live there and am hoping I get time to visit the lovely Simone's shop finally in Bulimba!

Have a lovely weekend, be back later next week! xx

Soup glorious soup...

Hello, sorry for the lack of posts lately, I've been holed up at home in bed with the flu :-/

Lots of soup and crusty baguette (okay... and lemsip max strength, cold and flu tablets, antibiotics) and I'm starting to feel a lot better. I really would have thought my immune system was top notch since my holiday in India but nope I still can't escape the common cold it seems!

A morning with Vogue

I have the morning to myself and what better way to spend it than with Vogue and the last remaining chocolates we were given recently (luckily for me, Mr Cornflake doesn't have much of a sweet tooth!)

Cannot believe how early it is to be up on a Saturday morning (8.30am) but I'm bursting with energy...I only hope it isn't from the wine we drank last night because that means I'm in for a tired afternoon!

Wishing you a joyous weekend xx

Swoon

I spy with my little eye beautiful hair accessories from My Lavaliere. J'adore! I must make a more concerted effort to stop pouring over Etsy though - it is sooo dangerous!

New vintage finds

A few finds from our weekend in the Blue Mountains (which was lovely and so theraputic being back in nature). A gorgeous little vintage perfume bottle with 'Made in England' stamped on the bottom, a cute black cloisonne apple trinket box and a white/off cream jug - which was actually bought new (on sale) from a gift shop. The little round vintage flower painting I bought online a few weeks ago, it is now one of my favourites, so pretty.

Really amazed my roses are still going strong, it's been over a week!

Sparing a thought today for everyone in Japan - I seriously cannot believe that the world is experiencing yet another horrendous natural disaster. If there is a take away thought this week it is that life is fragile and to be cherished every moment of every day.

England vs Australia...

{via}

We had a spell in the countryside again this weekend. I have to say it is so nice escaping the city, particularly at the moment as Mr Cornflake and I are really busy with work and travel.

Big plans have been afoot in our household the last couple of weeks as we try and work out what our next move in life will be. We're wondering whether to move to the UK (back home for me) or stay in the world's second most expensive (but super beautiful) city, Sydney.

It is such a hard decision to make and so confusing. We are at the cusp of really 'setting up' and having baby soon so whatever we decide won't be with the short term in mind.

Oohh it is a tough one and looking at cute English cottages is both encouraging and so unrealistic! Hope you're having a lovely weekend. xx

Fabulous vintage styling

Absolutely adore these pictures from Style Me Pretty. I am on the hunt for some vintage tins at the moment to create this very look. As you can see I'm a little preoccupied with styling at the moment!

Good morning

I've woken up fresh as a daisy today, thank goodness! I hate Monday mornings, usually because I am extremely exhausted (how does that work after a relaxing weekend?)

Here are some snaps of how our coffee table is looking at the moment. I bought these lovely roses at the florist yesterday. Noticing a lot of my pictures at the moment feature blue and white china, Hmmm...an obsession perhaps?

Wishing you a great start to the week! :-)

Vignettes

I couldn't help but put together a few vignettes on my dressing room table today. Styling is so theraputic for me, good for the soul ;-) and taking photos is a great record of my little treasures.

A day at home :)

It's been so nice just pottering at home today. The last week was so hectic and exhausting I'm relishing the little things like starting my day with a proper cooked breakfast of spanish eggs, lavendar infusing our home and watching a movie tonight. Hope you're having a relaxing weekend too. xx

Tea and flowers

Here's another very small part of our weekend. When we walked into this cafe for tea and a bite to eat I couldn't resist taking some pictures. Such pretty styling and a perfect record for my inspiration files. The purple flowers we saw on our journey there. :-)
