You can't have it all...

This is a favourite expression of my Mum's and while there is undoubtedly truth to it I often find myself guilty of trying to have it all (hehe). Is anyone else the same? I mean take the images above. There are so many delectable styles and homes repleat with wonderful natural old features that I fall in love with, how do you choose (assuming of course, unlimited choice - which of course I don't have)?

Whether it's getting gorgeous clothes or finding accessories for the home or trying to get the work/life, with more emphasis on life (of course), balance right or wanting to go travelling for a year and still have enough money left over to buy a house and be able to have a big family and a garden with chickens and a vegetable patch and...Quite frankly the list goes on but I think you get the idea...

Well, it's almost here folks. Have a super weekend wherever you may be. Pleased to report that Mr has finished all his work now, so its just me and him going for fun little outings around Sydney and we're doing a spot of furniture shopping too which is, of course, very exciting for a girl.

Beautiful pictures sourced via the wonderful Brabourne Farm. I want it all ;-)

  1. Have a lovely weekend Anna and I know what you mean. I always feel like I want it all. The memories from my trips to 3rd world/developing countries helps bring me back down to earth when I start feeling a bit too greedy, I'm sure India has been like that for you too. But it's so nice to dream isn't it!

  2. i know what you mean..i think it we have to try to focus on what we do have and not what we dont have, and that material things don't bring long term happiness.

  3. Janette, Cheryl you're both so right and going to India earlier this year definitely makes me count my blessings.

My home is almost 70% compiled of things from charity shops/ethical homeware stores so hopefully giving something back with my consumerism. :-)

As we all know, the best things in life are free. And by that I mean love, not roadside finds, lol!

  4. Funny you say that! I am always jokingly saying to the sailor I want, I want, I want and he lovingly answer
"Yes but where will we put it"
