The power of white paint
{Images 1, 2}
Two great examples of how white paint can transform a room. I’ve been painting a lot of my furniture white recently so thought white paint deserved an honorable mention! Would really love to have this cabinet, desk, table and chandelier in my place, how lush!
I also really like the idea of painting picture frames such as these above and then hanging jewellery from them from baby nails in the frame or adding lace or netting behind. It's all about imagination helped by a little inspiration!

Oh my goodness, Anna, this is amazing you post this because I just bought a bunch of picture frames (without the glass in them) and I was going to paint them white and hang them on the wall without artwork or pictures in them! I am so glad you posted this because I didn't think of adding jewelry to them. I love it!

ReplyDeleteI love that 1st image, its just devine....
ReplyDeleteFurniture always looks so amazing painted white. I also like when the corners are distressed a little to give a slightly worn in look.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of hanging jewelry from a picture frame, simple but stunning.

ReplyDeleteKisses!! Bela.
I love those picture frames! Such a clever idea! Just curious, I am thinking about painting a dresser. It has a somewhat of a laminate finish so I don't think it needs to be stripped. Should I just get a can of paint mixed to my specified color and paint over it with a brush? Or use high quality spray paint? Just curious what your thoughts are!
ReplyDeleteHi Anna, thanks for stopping by "Satisfied"... I have a fondness for all things shabby chic. We used to live in Pasadena California in an 100 year old house- loved it. Australia? wow-that's a long way from here, California. I do love a good coat of white paint. Until next time ~ Louise
ReplyDeleteI agree! I love the freshness of white and the idea of painting the frames white to frame your jewelry! Perfect!
